Do you provide legal advice ?
We try to give the best answers to your questions, and for complex cases, we rely on external legal skills.

GE : the general deadline is March, 31st. 3 to 5 months extensions can be requested for an additional fee.
What is the deposit deadline for a company tax return?

What happens if tax returns have to be established in several cantons ?
The tax return is established for the canton of residence or main office; then a copy is sent to the other relevant cantonal tax authorities.
The deadline of the main canton applies for all the others.
Should my accounting always be held in Swiss francs ?
No, it could be held in the most important currency in relation to the company’s activities. However, the financial statements will be converted into Swiss francs using the year’s end exchange rate.
Do you establish the annual accounts (BS and P&L) in a foreign language ?
Yes, in addition to French, we can hold the accounting and drawing up the financial statements in English.
How long should we keep the accounting records and documents ?
10 years.
In the case of acts in relation to buildings, it is necessary to keep them for 20 years.
Are electronic documents accepted ?
Yes, as long as the connection with the transactions is guaranteed and the document is legible.
Which accounting software would you recommend ?
There are several solutions and we preferably suggest using Winbiz or Cresus.
- Winbiz allows clear visualisation and direct access to the various modules (accounting, salary, sales, purchasing, etc.)
- Cresus offers separate software modules; according to our experience, it is easier for the accounting input.
Since we are resellers for these softwares, we will gladly help you to install and configure them.
Is it better to hold the accounting by ourselves or delegate it to you ?
Usually, self-employed people and SMEs issuing relatively few invoicing documents would benefit from outsourcing their accounting.
On the other hand, with significant amounts of accounting documents (invoices issued, bills to pay to creditors), it would behove you to take care of your own accounting, in order to automatically link the billing system and accounting. In this case we can occasionally provide audit and accounting corrections.
Is it necessary to conclude a term contract in writing ?
No, an orally concluded mandate is also valid., e.g. the preparation of a tax return.
However, in case of a mandate including various services, it is always better to clarify the terms in writing.
Do you offer remote and on-site services ?
Yes, according to your needs and preferences, we can work in both configurations. You can, of course, also change your mind along the way.
How much do your services cost ?
The fees are calculated on a per-hour basis. The hourly rates vary from CHF 140.- to CHF 180.- depending on the nature of the service.
The price of a standard personal tax return establishment starts from 160.-
An annual financial statement for a self-employed person costs approximately CHF 2’000 .-
Upon initial brief, we will establish a preliminary cost estimation for you.
